Blowing soap bubbles is fascinating and entertaining for all ages. Today, we’re going to show you how to make your own super simple bubble maker from a tic tac container! These plastic boxes are so small, that even toddlers can hold it themselves just fine.
1. Needed supplies for this Bubble Maker Craft
Before rolling up our sleeves, let’s start by gathering the tools and supplies necessary to make our DIY bubble maker that fits in your pocket. They are all really easy to find. Here is the list of what you need:
• An empty Tic Tac box
• 1 wooden skewer
• Sharp scissors
• Hot glue gun
• A small plastic ring (that’s usually around the neck of plastic bottles)
• Liquid soap
• Water
To help you identify these few essential components for the making of our bubble maker here are some pictures as guidance. The wooden stick should be roughly this size, and the plastic ring looks like this:
It would be best if you measure the length of the box and adjust the stick and the ring accordingly. The ring should not reach the bottom of the box.
2. How to make a bubble maker at home
Now is the time to roll up our sleeves and move on to assembling our small bubble maker. To get started, take the Tic Tac box and gently remove the cap.
Apply a blob of hot glue to the inside of the cover, then attach the small wooden stick upright.
Once the stick is well glued, fix the small plastic ring on its other end, so that it is in a vertical position. While waiting for the glue to dry, be sure to hold it securely in place so that it fixes in the correct position.
Now it’s time to get down to business: give our super bubble machine fuel. There are lots of interesting recipes for a soap bubble liquid on the Internet but for this tiny bubble maker you can only use a solution from liquid soap and water. Pour them directly into the Tic Tac box.
Don’t put too much soap, simply press the nozzle twice, and fill with water to the top. After that, carefully close the Tic Tac box and shake it well so as to mix the water well with the soap!
3. Your do it yourself bubble maker is ready!
Now it’s time for fun: you just have to gently pull out the handle and blow gently into the ring. You will see: pretty little bubbles will magically appear!
